In March of 2008, Gavin was diagnosed with an atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT) that had spread from his brain to his spine. Gavin is 4 years old now and has been fighting this illness for almost a year. Do to 5 surgical procedures in the last 11 months and an average of 9 medically related appointments each week, the Smith family has taken on an extreme amount of financial burden. There is a way we can help. A sculpture has been donated to the Smith family to be raffled off. The sculpture is valued at $2,250.00 and the tickets are $20 each. All the donations will go directly to Gavin and his family to help with the cost of his treatment. Gavin himself will draw the winning name on April 10, 2009.
